American Idol

Well, we're gonna do it. Neil is going to audition for American Idol in Seattle next Tuesday. He really wants to be on it! I think he feels that it's his only way to get discovered right now. He's at the age limit to audition for the show, so it's his last chance. And, it's only up in Seattle- one of my favorite places.

So, I've taken 3 days off, we've gotten a hotel room and we're going! Standing in line all day on Tuesday doesn't sound fun, but who knows where it can lead? God, can you imagine? What if he makes it to the top 12, or whatever it is? He'll be famous. You just never know! He has a pretty damn good voice.

Now, if he does make it, though, that will change so much. He starts school back up in a week and a half. If he goes to Hollywood, then he won't be able to go to school this term. It's all good I suppose. It's worth it to give what you love doing a shot. If I had a similar opportunity for my acting I would be stupid not to take the risk.

He'll regret it if he doesn't try. If he doesn't make it to the Hollywood auditions, then at least he knows he tried...and at least we got to go to Seattle for 3 days!
